5 min readATTA Trading Plc is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Senior Finance Manager / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support its manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all financial functions related to the company’s upcoming industrial projects, including paper and glass manufacturing plants. The role entails establishing and strengthening financial management systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, overseeing project financing, and providing strategic financial leadership to promote sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
The Senior Finance Manager / CFO will be responsible for leading and managing all financial operations of ATTA Trading Plc, particularly for its manufacturing and large-scale industrial projects such as paper and glass factories. The role focuses on establishing a strong financial management system, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and driving effective cost control and financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Establish and strengthen financial systems, policies, and procedures (accounting, budgeting, cost control, and reporting).
- Oversee all financial operations including cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, taxation, banking, and audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial oversight and support for large-scale industrial projects (paper, glass, and construction-related operations).
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.
- Establish strong internal control systems to mitigate financial risks.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Build and manage a fully functional finance department from the ground up.
- Facilitate effective financial communication between local operations and international partners (China–Ethiopia coordination).
- Prepare financial forecasts, investment analyses, and management reports.
- Support executive decision-making with accurate financial insights and recommendations.
